For more than 140 years, Oster­wal­der has stood for pre­cis­ion, inno­va­tion, and relia­bi­lity in pow­der com­pac­ting tech­no­logy. With thou­sands of machi­nes deli­vered and an unpar­al­le­led glo­bal ser­vice net­work – sup­ported by sub­si­dia­ries in the USA, China, and Japan – Oster­wal­der Tech­no­logy AG con­ti­nues as a trus­ted part­ner for our cus­to­mers in the fields of hard metals, spe­cial mate­ri­als and iron powder.

Oster­wal­der is now part of Pica­nol Group, a busi­ness unit of Tes­sen­derlo Group, an entre­pre­neu­rial and future-ori­en­ted indus­trial group head­quar­te­red in Belgium.

In Sep­tem­ber of last year, Oster­wal­der began a carefully plan­ned tran­si­tion pro­cess as their respec­ted CEO, Rolf Graf, had long inten­ded to hand over the com­pany at the age of 70. While this gene­ra­tio­nal change was stra­te­gi­cally pre­pared, the cur­rent glo­bal envi­ron­ment – inclu­ding geo­po­li­ti­cal ten­si­ons, a strong Swiss franc, and the gene­ral chal­len­ging eco­no­mic envi­ron­ment – cau­sed delays in the pro­cess but could be fina­li­zed mid 2025.

We are the­r­e­fore plea­sed and proud to announce that we have now found a strong and com­mit­ted inves­tor who shares our values and our stra­tegy: Tes­sen­derlo Group, an entre­pre­neu­rial and future-ori­en­ted indus­trial group head­quar­te­red in Belgium.
